Happy 6 months DJ!

I can't believe my son is 6 months old today. It seems like just yesterday I was peeing on 6 different test strips because I couldn't believe I was pregnant.
At the time those 9 months seemed to drag on. The morning-noon-and-night sickness that I prayed would ended but continued on into my second and third trimesters. The emotional melt downs over a tv commercial for slow jamz CDs and crying because I didn't want to make the decision between ice cream or a burrito. The cravings for spicy food even though I had terrible heart burn. The up all night baking nesting phase. Trying everything short of castor oil to get him out and failing. 16 hours of labor. It all flew by.
And then he was here all 8lbs 7oz of him and I was over come with joy. He has grown and changed and learned so much and I couldn't be a prouder mother.
It's been a half a year already and it's so bitter sweet. Everyday I pray that time would just slow down so I could cherish each moment for just a little longer. Happy 6 months DJ

Leftover pizza!

So I was feeling pretty guilty because my brother-in-law is in town and last night I made a spicy cajon shrimp pasta not knowing he didn't eat shrimp or spicy food. I decided I wanted to make something we all would like tonight, who doesn't like pizza?
So I found a recipe for pizza dough ( you could also use the canned or boxed just-add-water dough) and as I was looking for toppings I noticed we had some leftover that needed to be used. Taco toppings and some grilled chicken. This is what I came up with but I'm thinking you can use any leftovers.
Buffalo Chicken with Franks hot sauce
BBQ chicken with sweet baby rays
Taco Pizza with Taco sauce
Salami Pizza with Tomato Sauce

Greetings

I guess I should start my blog with an introduction, so here it is. I decided to start this blog to share all of my experiences as a stay at home mom: the good, bad, and ugly. But mostly the good!
Having a baby is a full time job on ts own but being a mother is many other jobs all rolled into one very important job that pays in love.
So I'm going to be sharing mom-friendly recipes, tips, tricks, products and my every day trials and tribulations. Enjoy!
